The MW Townhouse is located on a main bus route with a superb service every 5 minutes; a day ticket can be purchased for £2.50 allowing unlimited hop-on/hop-off transport all over the city.

Commonwealth Pool is within very close proximity to the MW Townhouse B&B
and a very short walk of approx 2 minutes. 3 pools (diving, children,
Olympic 50m) together with sauna/steam, gymnasium, fitness classes
and cafe. There is a fantastic children's play area called
Clambers - 3 levels to tire out even the most adventurous child.
All are available especially when the Scottish weather is not
at it' s best!

Scottish
Parliament Building (approx 15 minutes walk from the MW Townhouse B&B)
This is Edinburgh's newest Tourist Attraction and is located
next to Holyrood Palace on Holyrood Road at the foot
of Edinburgh' s Royal Mile. Sir David Steel, the first presiding
officer of the new parliament, believes this to be the most
important building to be built in Scotland for some
300 years.

This is the official Scottish residence of the British Royal family, 650 acres of parks, gardens and wilderness make up the Queen's Gardens in the heart of the City. State chambers are open to the public when the royal family are not in residence. Open for tours only from April until October 9.30am — 5.15 pm. November to March 9.30am — 4.30 pm.
Holyrood Park
and Arthur Seat (approx 5 minutes walk from the MW Townhouse)
Right on our doorstep! The former hunting ground of the Scottish Monnarchs, the park
covers 650 acroes of varied landscape including Salisbury
Craggs, lochs and gorgeous open parkland. The highest point is the
251m summit of Arthu' s Seat, a long-extinct volcano.
Dynamic Earth (approx 15 minutes walk from the MW Townhouse B&B)
A lovely walk through Holyrood Park from the Townhouse brings you to Holyrood Road This is one of Edinburgh's main tourist attractions and popular with children of all ages, who can experience life on earth from 4500 years ago to the present day!
National Galleries of Scotland (aprox 25 minutes walk from MW Townhouse B&B / 10 mins bus)

One of the best small collections of paintings in Europe. Raphael, Titian, Rubens, Rembrandt and are among the artists on display. Open: Monday to Saturday 10.00am to 5.00pm. Sunday 2.00pm — 5.00 pm. Admission Free.
Royal Scottish Academy (25 minutes walk from the MW Townhouse B&B / 10 mins by bus)
Free Admission is available to a wealth of paintings, sculptures and architectural drawings by RSA members. Temporary collections and the annual members' exhibition provide an interesting focus throughout the year.
Royal Museum of Scotland (approx 20 minutes walk from the MW Townhouse B&B or 10 minutes by bus)

Huge collections of decorative arts, geology, natural history and science collections, exhibiting spectacular iron and glass structure. The Museum tells Scotland's own story: past, present, and there is a room for the future. The museum is within walking distance: walk towards the city until you come to Chamber Street (about ten blocks), turn left and walk to the top of Chamber Street. Fantastic for children of all ages.
